Welcome to Reg Marek Custom Saddles. My shop name is Kicking Horse Saddlery. We are located in central-east British Columbia near the town of McBride in the beautiful Robson Valley. The highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies is Mt. Robson and is a half an hour drive from here. Jasper Alberta is a little more than 100 kilometers east of us. Here in my shop I strive to build top quality custom handmade saddles and tack that will properly fit both you and your horse.

I have spent many years on extended pack trips in the mountains and know how important it is to have a good fitting saddle tree for the horses back. I make the seats as narrow as the tree will allow for a close-contact comfortable ride. All of my saddles have a rawhide covered wooden tree that will stand up to years of hard use including roping on the ranch or in the arena. These trees are handmade by one of the best and most respected treemakers in North America. I use only the best of materials including top quality skirting leather, barktanned sheepskin, brass, bronze, or stainless steel hardware, and all leather parts are cut properly from the sides of leather for the strongest and best in quality. No shortcuts are taken. Any combination of swell (fork), horn, seat, cantle, skirts, rigging, etc. can be custom made for you along with your choice of tooling. United Parcel Service can deliver your saddle to your door in most places in the world.
